Riversider.Org is creating a database to track all ancestors buried at Evergreen Cemetery. Once the information has been compiled, it will be submitted to Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery, Inc.

Project Update
In 1932, California mandated the establishment of endowment care, to avoid the dereliction of cemeteries like Evergreen. The contrast between the endowed and non-endowed portions of Evergreen are stark.
Members of the community have formed the Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery Inc. to repair, refurbish, irrigate and endow Evergreen Cemetery's non-endowed areas. The city completed replacement of missing curbs, rehabilitation of surrounding streets and construction of a storm drain. They will also be installing a waterline, sidewalks and streetlights to the area. A new fence is in and the caps to the pillars have been added. Sprinklers have been installed and areas are being leveled to allow proper drainage. This involves about 200 headstones being raised.
The the endowment is now at $840,000. They hope to raise an additional $1.3 million. Please help reach this goal. Donations can be mailed to: Evergreen
